About the Artist:
The artistic fingerprints of west coast musician/artist Matt Adams rest on all sides and surfaces of the California musical underground topography. Springing forth from a Southern California suburb where he learned to play every instrument necessary for the garage band universe. Eventually moving on to much more delicate, detailed and idiosyncratic music on the 8 track home recorder he had access to at the time. In search of Kinks like riffs and Fab 4 style melodies he left his Orange County home for the open minded scene of the San Francisco Bay Area. Literally throwing himself into the vibrant community music and art scene, handling every bit of the stellar artwork for his albums, posters and covers along the way for his musical moniker “The Blank Tapes”. His music would reach distant destinations as far as Brazil and carry him all over the world where he still tours today. Matt’s artistic adventures continue to grow in style and scope and his work of late for bands such as GospelbeacH is stronger than ever. Having honed his own truly unique and distinctive style while still echoing past artists like Kerry Awn and William Stout to name just a few. We were so happy to have Matt come on board for our inaugural piece and we look forward to working with him on future RRA projects, some already in the works! www.theblanktapes.com
