Sunday salutations!
We’re finally unveiling the CRBase, and opening it for public consumption today.
What is the CRBase? Part of the original idea behind the Raven’s Reels Almanac, was to create not only a place to review and discuss the live shows, but to create something like DeadBase. DeadBase 50 was just announced and in one of our long spacey conversations, we thought, wouldn’t it be great to coordinate an Almanac of everything? Live shows, pictures, soundboards for purchase, posters, merchandise, and make it all searchable!
Starts, Stops, Delays, Programmers not delivering, programmers working and leaving with the code, programmers getting paid and then not finalizing their product… and after what feels like a dozen restarts, we’re here.
So what is it now, what does it have, what will it be?
Currently it is a database of all setlists and activities related to the CRB and it’s side projects, from March 2011 to the present day. From the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Chris Robinson, Chris Robinson and Neil Casal, Weir/Robinson/Greene, Green Leaf Rustlers, As The Crow Flies, and Circles Around the Sun. It’s all there.
Currently you can : Select a year, hit search. Select a month, day or venue, and search. You can see the setlist. Want to know all the times they played 3rd & Lindsley? Select it from the venue dropdown, hit Search, and there’s all the shows and all the setlists.
NOW…..What’s coming? There has to be more right? Of course!! Go and check the recent entries from Europe, and you will see what we are in the process of getting this to look like.
Each show will have the setlist. Each show will have a direct link, dropping you directly into livechrisrobinsonbrotherhood.com to buy that specific live soundboard. You won’t have to go searching for it. Each show will have a link to the Raven’s Reels Almanac Gallery for that specific show! We currently have over 10,000 pictures from 2011 to the present day!! All the photos are categorized in our Live Galleries at So as I said, the CRBase will drop you right into the gallery for that show.
Also each show is being populated with the white setlist jpg as published by the band every night.
What if we wrote a Raven’s Reels Almanac entry/review of the show? You can link to the review from the CRBase.
Notable events, referred to as Chris’isms, will also be there.
What else is being worked on to add to it? The database is currently accessible through our website, which links over to crbase.com. We will be moving this to crbase.ravensreelsalmanac.net in the coming weeks.
The songlist will be searchable. So if you’re looking for every time they played The Seventh Son, you’ll find that here. Also we’ll show all the songs, it’s premier date, and all the lyrics, what album it’s on, and more.
This is a labor of love. Years in the thought process, hours and hours invested, and hours and hours to go. But this is the start….
We have more to announce today, but let’s start with this so we don’t overwhelm you…
